New Design

Every now and then, it’s good to refine, improve and evolve – and the iTakeout website and brand is no exception. Over the next few months we are planning some major design improvements to the site that we are very excited about. In this post we are going to preview some of the changes to give you a sneak peak of what is to come.

We often receive feedback about the look and feel of the site – and one frequent comment is “it’s very green” :) Good call we think and so our new design takes the unprecedented step of adding another couple of colours into the mix – and we think it looks awesome.

We’ve increased the size of the site width wise to give more space for information and the logo has gone brown! With the addition of some extra colours the site feels fresh an easy to use and we are pleased with how it has evolved.

The core function of the site and the way you build up an order hasn’t changed – as that was one thing that we’ve been told is really great about the current site.

The menu page has also undergone some significant work to make it clearer and easier to use. Your order will stay fixed on the right even when you scroll down so you don’t have to remember what you’ve ordered and we’ve improved our filtering and searching features.

We’ve still some work to do to get this completed but we hope that by the end of the summer the new design will be live. Until that time we welcome any feedback from you – the people who will be using it. Tell us what you like about the current site and tell us if there is anything it doesn’t do that it should.

@Muns Man we’d love to… (we love the iPhone!)

We’ve talked about this quite a lot in our development meetings and while we think it is a brilliant idea there is a large development cost which doesn’t (at the moment) match up to the demand for it. Therefore we are concentrating all our efforts on a really easy to use and good looking website (which will work beautifully in Safari on your iPhone or iPad) as that is where the majority of our customers will purchase from.

Having said all that – it would be so cool! We will keep the idea ticking over and if we have anything to show you we’ll let you know!
